Historic WPA era murals are in need of significant conservation and restoration. Project is in conjunction with the Recreation & Parks Department, which is undertaking repairs to the historic building.

Hall of Justice: 850 Bryant at 7th Street
West Corner Lawn

Sculpture was thoroughly cleaned and a new chemical patina applied to even out the surface, returning the sculpture to its original color. A protective wax coating was also applied. Trees surrounding the sculpture were trimmed back.

Public Display: District 3
Ferry Park, Embarcadero

Sculpture was relocated within Ferry Park to a more prominent and accessible site. The sculpture was cleaned of all graffiti. A new patina and protective coatings were applied.

Moscone Center, 4th and Howard Streets

Completely strip and re-paint faded painted elements, address underlying corrosion issues. Repair damaged lighting sited in the base.  Completed: July 2012

Clean and apply protective coating. Repair missing gold leaf.  Completed: December 2012

Artwork has been in storage since 1998. The piece needs significant conservation work to secure tiles and prepare it for reinstallation at Franklin Square Park.
